Paloma Mizuho Training Pool (Mizuho Park Training Pool) is an outdoor cold-water pool at the Paloma Mizuho Sports Park in Mizuho Ward, Nagoya City. In 2026 it is open from 10:00 to 17:30, from Monday, July 20 to Monday, August 31, and is closed on July 27 and August 3, 17, and 24. It centers on a 25-meter, 7-lane training pool, an ideal setting for children who want to swim seriously. A 150-square-meter children's pool and a 95-square-meter toddler pool are also attached, so little ones can safely play in shallow water where they can stand. Located within the sports park, the facility is well-equipped and offers a pleasant, green-surrounded environment despite being in the middle of the city. With affordable admission, it's a great spot to visit again and again during summer vacation.

Admission is 300 yen for adults, 100 yen for children, and 100 yen for Nagoya City residents aged 65 and over, with 11-ticket discount books also available. Note that the pool is closed on July 27 and August 3, 17, and 24. It's open from 10:00 to 17:30. Swim caps are often required, so bring enough for everyone in your group. Since it's a cold-water pool, it's reassuring to bring something to wrap up in for children who feel the cold easily. Shaded space is limited, so secure a spot early.
