Nagoya City Moriyama Pool is an outdoor pool open from Monday, July 20 to Monday, August 31, 2026, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. It consists of a 25m x 7-lane pool for practice and a 180-square-meter toddler pool, allowing children who want to practice swimming and small children mainly there for water play to spend time in the same place. Since it is a cold-water pool, the refreshing feeling the moment you enter on a hot midsummer day is exceptional. Admission is affordable at 300 yen for adults, 100 yen for children, and 100 yen for city residents aged 65 and over, with an 11-ticket discount booklet also available, making it a good deal for families visiting repeatedly in summer. True to a Nagoya municipal pool, the facilities are well-maintained, and the unpretentious atmosphere bustling with local children is part of its appeal.

Tips

Closed on July 22, 29, and August 5, 19, and 26. Since the cold water can chill your body quickly, take breaks often by getting out of the water, and bring extra layers and towels. It gets crowded during the day in summer vacation, so it is reassuring to head there with plenty of time to spare.
