Uonuma City Koide Hokubu Pool is an outdoor pool in Uonuma City, open from 1pm to 4pm in 2026 on July 18 (Sat), 19 (Sun), 20 (Mon, holiday), 25 (Sat), and 26 (Sun), and from August 1 (Sat) through August 31 (Mon). Admission is free, making it a gathering spot for local children on summer afternoons. Being limited to three hours in the afternoon actually makes it feel all the more enjoyable, since you can focus on playing during that time. Even Uonuma, known for its heavy snowfall, turns lush and green in summer, and swimming with mountain breezes blowing through is especially refreshing.
