In 2026, it's open from Saturday, July 18 to Saturday, August 22. The pool measures 25 by 10.5 meters, with a water depth of 1.3 meters at the near end and 1.1 meters at the far end. Being on a rooftop, there's nothing blocking the view, so looking up while swimming reveals only the open sky, an openness unique to a pool in the middle of the city. Admission for up to 2 hours is 50 yen for elementary and junior high school students, 200 yen for high school students and up, and free for young children. As a facility of the local community center, it has an unpretentious atmosphere, with neighborhood children riding their bikes over to swim. It's a familiar, easy-to-visit spot for water play throughout summer break.

The pool is closed on Thursdays and public holidays (July 20 and August 11), as well as August 14 and 15. Since it's closed fairly often, be sure to check the opening schedule before you head out. With a water depth of 1.3 meters at the near end and 1.1 meters at the far end, there is no shallow pool for young children. It's not suited for small children who can't swim, so plan according to your family's needs. Admission is based on a 2-hour stay. Since the rooftop has nothing to block the sun, be sure to apply sunscreen thoroughly.

Best time to visit

2 hours starting at 1:30 PM. The afternoon, as the sunlight starts to soften, is the most comfortable time at the rooftop pool.
