The Mitaka City Osawa Community Center Outdoor Pool is a local pool open from Wednesday, July 22 through Sunday, August 23, 2026. It has a 25m x 10.5m pool (water depth from 1.3m near the entrance to 1.1m at the far end) and a pool for young children, so kids who want to swim and small children still getting used to the water can spend time in the same place. It operates from 12:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and Saturdays, and 12:00 to 16:30 on Sundays, always on a two-hour time-slot basis. The fee is very reasonable: 50 yen for elementary and junior high school students and 200 yen for high schoolers and up, per two-hour slot. True to a facility attached to a community center, it has a relaxed atmosphere where local children gather casually. Surrounding trees provide shade on the poolside, which is a nice touch for families with small children.

The pool opens at noon, so plan to spend the morning elsewhere. Since it's on a two-hour time-slot system, keep track of your entry time.
