This is 'Aqua Zone Kushira', the Peace Park Leisure Pool at Kushira Peace Park in Kanoya City, Kagoshima Prefecture, open in 2026 from Sunday, July 19 to Sunday, August 30. Living up to its claim as the prefecture's largest leisure pool, it's fully equipped: a 200m lazy river, a 76m waterslide, and a toddler pool with a fountain and waterfall. The lazy river is satisfying just floating along on an inner tube, while the slide is popular enough that older kids line up again and again. The toddler pool has a fountain and waterfall, so little ones can find their own way to play. Lockers, showers, and hair dryers are all provided, and there's a shop too, so you can get by with almost nothing packed.

Admission is 520 yen for adults (18 and up), 310 yen for elementary, junior high, and high school students, 210 yen for toddlers (3 and up), and free under age 3. Check the city's information in advance for opening hours. The waterslide often has a height restriction, so follow the signs posted on site. The southern sun is strong, so reapply sunscreen frequently.
