About this spot
Ochise Terrace 2026 (Toei Josui Park River Play Area) is a seasonal river-play spot officially guided by the town's tourism authority, set up using 'Toei Josui Park' along the Ochise River that flows through Toei Town. It runs from Saturday, July 25 to Sunday, August 16, 2026, open only on weekends and during the Obon period. The riverside offers both relatively shallow spots easy for young children to enter and deeper spots, so you can choose where to play based on age and swimming ability. During the season, food trucks and other vendors sell food and drinks, so you won't have trouble finding meals or refreshments. A campsite is also set up, and restrooms are maintained. Admission to the river play area itself is free, with a simple fee structure requiring only a 1,000-yen parking fee (5,000 yen for the campsite).

Tips
This spot is open only on weekends and during the Obon period, so it is closed on weekdays. Be sure to check with Toei Town's official tourism information whether your visit date falls on an open day. It's a short walk from the parking lot to the river play area, so pack your belongings compactly—a folding cart wagon is handy. There are deeper spots, so have young children wear life jackets and keep a close eye on them. The riverbed stones are slippery, so bring water shoes. Rain upstream can raise the water level, so leave the river promptly if the weather turns.
Best time to visit
About 3 hours 10 minutes. The afternoon, when sunlight is strong and the water warms up, is the best time to play
