Ojima Komatsugawa Park - Kaze no Hiroba (Wind Plaza) (大島小松川公園 風の広場)
Flow of the course
About this spot
Ojima Komatsugawa Park is a large park spanning Koto City and Edogawa City, and Kaze no Hiroba (Wind Plaza) is an area within it featuring a spreading grassy hill. From the observation hill you can look out over the surroundings, and get an up-close look at the imposing form of the former Komatsugawa Lock (旧小松川閘門) that remains in the park. It's a good spot for a lunch break, whether spreading out a picnic sheet to eat a bento or getting active on the lawn. The park also has an athletic plaza with large play equipment shaped like ships and waves, which you can also enjoy if you have time. It's recommended as a stop along the way to the Splash Pond at Kameido Central Park.
Tips
It's a short walk from Toei Shinjuku Line's Higashi-Ojima Station (東大島駅). There's little shade in summer, so a hat is reassuring to have.
