About this spot
Located on the grounds of BIOTOPIA, these are the large paired male-and-female ginkgo trees known as the Meoto Icho, along with the ginkgo tree-lined avenue. These venerable trees are said to have been transplanted about 50 years ago (around 1975) from street trees in Marunouchi, Tokyo (in front of the Imperial Palace), and they typically turn golden from mid to late November each year. During the autumn foliage season, a carpet of yellow fallen leaves spreads underfoot, turning a simple walk with your children through the fallen leaves into an enjoyable stroll.
