About this spot

An industrial park spanning Atsugi City and Aikawa Town, where the rows of ginkgo trees along the roads crisscrossing the site form a little-known autumn-leaf spot. The leaves are typically at their best from late November to mid-December. The distinctive harmony between the working factory buildings and the golden ginkgo trees is unique, and during the leaf-fall period the sidewalk turns into a golden yellow sidewalk. You can view it freely and for free from the public sidewalk, and the open, easy-to-see sidewalk also serves as a walking route for local residents.

Tips

The tourism association recommends viewing early in the morning, when there is less truck traffic. If walking during the day, be sure to stay on the sidewalk and hold your child's hand so they don't step into the road. Access: about 25 minutes by bus from Atsugi Bus Center, getting off at Nishi-icchome; by car, about 4 km from the Sagamihara-Aikawa IC on the Ken-O Expressway. For inquiries, contact the Aikawa Town Tourism Association.

Best time to visit

Afternoon, once the leaves have fallen well, when the light shines golden through the row of trees
