Takaku Shrine (高来神社)
Flow of the course
About this spot
A shrine nestled at the foot of Mt. Koma, marking the entrance to the hiking course. Beyond the shrine grounds, the trail splits into the rocky Otoko-zaka (Men's Slope) and the gentler Onna-zaka (Women's Slope). Families with children or those who prefer a leisurely climb will find the Onna-zaka easier to walk, ascending step by step through a path wrapped in trees.
Tips
Pay your respects and check your shoelaces before starting the climb. Even the Onna-zaka is a mountain trail, so a backpack that keeps your hands free is recommended.
