About this spot

Moored at the quay of Yamashita Park, this cargo-passenger ship was built in 1930 and is a National Important Cultural Property. You can tour the passenger cabins and engine room from its days serving the Seattle route. Open 10:00-17:00 (last entry 16:30), closed Mondays. Admission is 300 yen for adults, 100 yen for elementary through high school students, and 200 yen for ages 65 and over.

Tips

Last entry is at 16:30. Finish your tour before the lights come on, and take in the harbor view from the deck; you'll appreciate the contrast with the nighttime illumination.
