The 'Kashimada Winter Decoration' brightens the traffic plaza in front of JR Kashimada Station, a local winter tradition. It usually runs from late November to early January, and in 2025 the lighting ceremony took place on November 27. In some past years the lights stayed on until January 10. The 2026 schedule and lighting times have not yet been announced, so please check local announcements or the organizer's information. Viewing is free.

Tips

Since it is right in front of the station, you can casually stop by along with getting on or off the train. Right after sunset, when the sky still holds a hint of blue, is a great time for photos.
