About this spot

A winter illumination that lights up the area around Pacifico Yokohama. It typically runs from early November to early March; last year it ran from November 1, 2025 to March 1, 2026. The Queen's Mall Bridge, the Grand Staircase beside the National Convention Hall, and the area around Pukari Pier (ぷかりさん橋) are wrapped in light, and viewing is free (the dates and lighting hours for 2026-27 have not been announced; please check the official information). The combination of Pukari Pier floating on the water and the lights is a classic Minato Mirai night-view photo.

Tips

Since it's mainly outdoor walkways and bridges, dress warmly. Following the route from the Queen's Mall Bridge down toward the sea lets you walk while tracing the lights without strain.

Best time to visit

Evening, right after the lights turn on. The time when the sky still holds a hint of blue is the most photogenic.
