About this spot

A museum dedicated to Venetian glass, where in winter the star attraction is the Crystal Tree 'Abete' rising at the center of the garden. The exhibit usually runs from early November to mid-January, and in 2025-26 it ran from November 1, 2025 to January 12, 2026, with the tree's lighting previously starting at 16:00 (the 2026-27 schedule and lighting hours have not yet been announced, so please check the official website). It's a tree you can enjoy twice over: sparkling in the sunlight by day, and transforming into an enchanting sight under illumination in the evening. Admission is 1,800 yen for adults, 1,300 yen for university and high school students, and 600 yen for elementary and junior high school students. It is open from 10:00 to 17:30 (last entry at 17:00).

Tips

Since it closes at 17:30, entering around 15:00 is recommended if you want to see the evening glow. Tour the exhibits and hands-on workshop inside first, then head to the garden tree as the sun starts to set. The glasswork at the museum shop makes a classic souvenir.

Best time to visit

Evening, around sunset. The highlight is watching the transformation from daytime sparkle to the enchanting sight after lighting
