About this spot

This is the illumination that decorates the pedestrian deck area in front of Mizonokuchi Station known as 'Kirari Deck.' Viewing is free. It typically lights up from early November through the end of January, and the 26th edition was held from November 7, 2025 to January 31, 2026 (the 2026-27 dates and lighting times have not yet been announced, so please check the city's official announcements). Its appeal lies in the convenient location, letting you walk straight into the light right after leaving the ticket gates, making it a winter tradition in Mizonokuchi where even people passing by on their way home from shopping stop to look.

Tips

It gets windy and cold up on the deck, so dress warmly for viewing. The period just after sunset, when some blue still remains in the sky, is especially photogenic.
