Okurayama Park (大倉山公園)
Flow of the course
About this spot
About a 7-minute walk from Okurayama Station (大倉山駅), this park spreads across the hilltop. Admission is free, and parents and children can stroll leisurely along paths through the greenery. The park has a plum grove with around 220 trees of 46 varieties, making it one of Yokohama's famous plum-blossom spots that draws crowds for its plum-viewing festival in early spring. In autumn, it is a pleasant time to walk through the light filtering between the trees while admiring the white facade of Okurayama Memorial Hall (大倉山記念館) from various angles.
Tips
The plum blossoms are usually at their best around February. It is also worth revisiting in a different season.
