A prefectural library specializing in natural science and industrial technology, located on the second floor of the West Building of Kanagawa Science Park (かながわサイエンスパーク, KSP). Opening hours are 9:30-19:30 Monday through Friday, and 9:30-17:30 on Saturdays and public holidays. True to its name, the Monozukuri Information Library (ものづくり情報ライブラリー), it gathers books on science and technology covering machinery, electricity, chemistry, and vehicles, making it a place where books can answer a child's questions about why things happen and how they work. Its very location, inside a science park full of research and development companies, also lets children feel the atmosphere of a real manufacturing site.

Tips

Closed on Sundays (including when a Sunday falls on a public holiday), and on the second Thursday of the month (moved to the following Friday if that Thursday is a public holiday). Also closed over the New Year holidays and during the library's annual materials inspection period. Plan to visit on a weekday or Saturday.

Best time to visit

Afternoon. On weekdays it stays open until 19:30, so you can take your time.
