About this spot

A library with a brick exterior, standing next to the Bunka Kaikan (文化会館, Culture Hall) in a corner of Culture Park (カルチャーパーク). Use is free, and borrowing is also free with no age restrictions. Even small children can borrow books with their own library card, making it a great place for a first 《borrowing it yourself》 experience. It's open from 9:00 to 19:00 Wednesday through Sunday, so you can devote the whole afternoon to books. The surrounding area is a park with sports facilities and open plazas, so it's a nice bonus for families to be able to take a break and move around outside between reading sessions.

Tips

Open 9:00-19:00 Wednesday through Sunday, and 9:00-17:00 on Tuesdays and public holidays. Closed on Mondays (open if it falls on a public holiday, with the first weekday afterward closed instead); it's also generally closed on the last Friday of each month for materials organization, as well as during the New Year holidays and special materials organization periods. Free parking is available.

Best time to visit

Afternoon. Recommended to take your time, moving from the children's book shelves to a window seat
