This unstaffed station on the JR Tokaido Line is known as a station with an ocean view, offering a sweeping view of Sagami Bay from its platform. This small station, selected as one of the 100 best stations in the Kanto region, is popular among photography enthusiasts for its wooden station building and the scenery of sea and railway together. Orange Garden (オーランジェ・ガルデン) is about a 20-minute walk from the station.

If you're arriving by train, this is the nearest station. The area around the station has many slopes, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
