About this spot

This mandarin orange orchard spreads across a hillside in Nebukawa, Odawara, with a sweeping view of Sagami Bay from the fields. Orange picking usually runs from late October through around December, all-you-can-eat within the orchard. Admission is 500 yen for adults, 200 yen for elementary school children, and free for preschoolers; taking oranges home costs 500 yen per net bag. In spring, Shonan Gold picking is also held (usually March-April; 1,000 yen for adults, 500 yen for elementary school children), and in summer, blueberry picking (usually August; 400 yen for adults, 200 yen for elementary school children, with take-home fruit priced at 150 yen per 100g).

Tips

Since the orchard is on a hillside overlooking the sea, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. It's about a 20-minute walk from JR Nebukawa Station, or about 10 minutes by car from the Ishibashi IC on the Seisho Bypass.
