About this spot

A tourist mandarin orchard on a hilltop in Zenba, Isehara City. Mandarin picking usually runs from mid-October to early December, and the scenic roughly one-hectare orchard offers a sweeping view of Sagami Bay. Business hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is parking for about 40 cars, but during mandarin-picking season it can only be used by those who have reserved a parking plan.

Tips

Please always check prices, reservation methods, and whether it is open that day on the official website (mitake-en.jp) before you go. Since the orchard is on a slope, comfortable walking shoes and hands-free bags are reassuring. By car, it is about 10 minutes from the Tomei Hadano-Nakai IC (東名秦野中井IC); turn left just before the Zenba traffic light on Route 246 (R246).

Best time to visit

The clear-light hours of the afternoon. Sagami Bay is beautifully visible.
