About this spot
A tourist mandarin orchard in Iwa, Manazuru Town (真鶴町岩), where about 4,000 mandarin trees grow on slopes overlooking Sagami Bay (相模湾). Mandarin-picking typically runs from early October through the end of December (in some years extending into early January of the following year; the 2025 season ended on January 3). Admission is 600 yen for adults (junior-high age and up) and 220 yen for children (age 3 through elementary school), and taking fruit home costs 1,150 yen per fill-it-yourself bag (about 4 kg). The orchard prizes flavor grown with low pesticide use and ground-cover cultivation, and also has a dog run and a barbecue area (reservation required). Parking is available for 60 cars.
