A mikan-picking orchard in Isehara City featured in JA Shonan's fruit-picking information. The season usually runs from mid-October to early December. Isehara's mikan fields, spread out at the foot of Mount Oyama, get plenty of sunshine, and as autumn deepens the fruit grows more colorful and sweet. The taste of mikan you snip and pick yourself with scissors is exceptional, making it a great food-education experience for children.
