About this spot
A mikan orchard in the Hinata (日向) district of Isehara City. Mikan picking usually takes place from mid-October to early December, in orchards spreading along the mountainside at the foot of Mount Oyama (大山), where you can pick ripened mikan by hand. Hinata is a district where mikan cultivation thrives, and in autumn the slopes turn entirely orange. Tasting freshly picked fruit on the spot is the greatest pleasure of mikan picking.
