About this spot
This 747-meter mountain rises east of Lake Miyagase (宮ヶ瀬湖) and is loved as a beginner-friendly route in eastern Tanzawa (東丹沢). Most of the trail runs through the shade of forest. Thanks to the green canopy blocking the sun and the breeze that turns cooler with elevation, it stays easy to walk even in September and October, when global warming keeps the heat going, which is exactly why it's called a cool stroll. An observation tower stands at the summit, and once you reach the top, a grand panorama awaits: the blue waters of Lake Miyagase (宮ヶ瀬湖), the mountains of Tanzawa (丹沢), and the Kanto Plain (関東平野) far in the distance. The trail is open to hike freely and has restrooms.
