Lake Shiroyama (城山湖)
Flow of the course
About this spot
An artificial lake created on a mountain by the Honzawa Dam, uniquely serving as the upper reservoir of a pumped-storage power plant. Encircled by green ridges, the lake surface is calm, and the breeze crossing the lake feels refreshingly cool, with the surrounding promenade staying shaded throughout. With global warming keeping September and October hot these days, this mountaintop waterside spot is a reliable choice for a family's cool stroll. Besides the view from the lakeshore, the nearby lookout points offer views all the way to the cityscape of Sagamihara.
