About this spot

A waterside area along the left bank of the Hikichi River, with a wetland botanical garden and a wisteria trellis where you can observe plants, insects, and wild birds throughout the seasons. Taking a leisurely walk along the boardwalk or riverside path offers a different kind of nature-watching experience from playing on the equipment. Since the hill of Oba Castle Ruins Park is visible nearby, moving on in the afternoon is easy.

Tips

The ground near the water can be damp, so wear comfortable walking shoes. It is more fun if you set a goal with your kids, like catching bugs or spotting wild birds, as you walk.
