A museum that opens to the public the old farmhouse Former Fujima Family Residence (旧藤間家住宅), which remains in Yanagishima, Chigasaki City. Open only on Fridays and Saturdays, 9:00-16:00. Admission is free. Under the thatched roof, an earthen floor area and tatami rooms continue one after another, letting you see old everyday tools up close. Step up onto the tatami room and look out at the garden, and you will be wrapped in the hushed quiet unique to an old farmhouse. For children, it is a place where they can physically feel 《So this is what old houses were like》. In autumn, you can also enjoy the changing colors of the trees in the garden.

Tips

Open only on Fridays and Saturdays. Closed during the New Year holidays (12/27-1/4). Closing time is 16:00, so we recommend entering in the early afternoon.
