About this spot
This museum stands on the site of the former residence where the Japanese-style painter Kaburaki Kiyokata (鏑木清方) spent his later years. Pass through the gate at the end of the alley, and a small garden and calm Japanese atmosphere await you; the bustle of Komachi-dori (小町通り) gives way to a quiet, flowing sense of time. Exhibits change with the seasons; open 9:00-17:00 (last admission 16:30). Admission is 300 yen for adults and 150 yen for elementary/junior-high students for feature exhibitions, and 450 yen for adults and 220 yen for elementary/junior-high students for special exhibitions.
