Inage Shrine (稲毛神社)

Flow of the course

About this spot

About a 7-minute walk from Kawasaki Station, this old Kawasaki shrine is affectionately known as 'Sanno-san.' Its sacred tree is a ginkgo said to be 1,000 years old, and admission is free. The calm shrine grounds feel far removed from the city, making it a perfect place to pray for a safe outing before setting off.

Tips

The amulet office is typically open from around 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. In winter the large ginkgo has lost its leaves, but its trunk remains impressive to see year-round.

Best time to visit

Early afternoon. Visiting while it is still light out is recommended
