About this spot
A lush nature park on the shore of Lake Ashi (芦ノ湖), right next to Hakone-en (箱根園). Admission is 600 yen. Follow the lakeside walking path to reach the Kuzuryu Shrine Main Hall (九頭龍神社本宮), enshrining a dragon god known for blessing relationships; it's about a 10-minute walk from the entrance to the shrine. The grounds facing the lake are quiet, letting you enjoy a forest bath and a shrine visit together. It's a perfect morning stop before playing at Hakone-en.
Tips
Admission is 600 yen. The monthly festival held on the 13th of each month draws crowds of worshippers. Some parts of the forest floor are left in a natural state, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
