About this spot

The only cruise in Japan where you can view two naval bases, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the US Navy, from the water. It runs every day (even in rain), with departures at 10:00 (weekends and holidays only), 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, and 15:00, and takes about 45 minutes. Fares vary by sailing date: adults 2,000-2,500 yen, elementary school students 1,000-1,250 yen (Fare A 2,500 yen / Fare B 2,200 yen / Fare C 2,000 yen, with elementary school students at half price each; revised February 1, 2026). The official FAQ does not specify a fare for preschool-age children, though they do count toward the boarding capacity. Tips

The wind is strong on the deck seats, so a jacket is a must. After disembarking, take a stroll along the adjacent waterfront promenade - as the sun sets, you'll catch the night view of ship and opposite-shore lights reflected on the water. Best time to visit

The final 15:00 departure. After disembarking, you can move straight into enjoying the port's evening and night views.
