About this spot

From the observation deck in the Negoya area (根小屋地区), which spreads along the south side of Mt. Shiroyama (城山), you get sweeping views toward the mountain town and Lake Tsukui. As the sun sets, lights come on across the town, and the moment it turns into a night view in the quiet mountain air is the highlight of this course. The parking lot is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM (closing at 7:00 PM), so after enjoying the night view, head back to your car with plenty of time before closing. The Park Center has closed days from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (the first and third Mondays, or the following day if that Monday is a holiday) and during the New Year holidays.

Tips

The parking lot closes at 7:00 PM. It is reassuring to wrap up and head back by around 6:45 PM. The park paths get dark, so bring a light to see your footing and hold hands with children as you walk.
