About this spot

This is the guardian shrine of Yokohama, affectionately known as 《the Ise Shrine of the Kanto region》, located right near Nogeyama (野毛山). Worship is freely open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and a quiet sacred forest spreads out here, hard to believe you're in the middle of the city. Before heading to the observation deck in the evening, stop by as a family to pray for a safe trip.

Tips

If you would like to receive amulets or charms, visit during distribution hours (8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). The grounds have a calm atmosphere, so please pray quietly.

Best time to visit

Evening. The light on the grounds is beautiful as the sun begins to set.
