About this spot

From the observation deck atop the hill in Nogeyama Park (野毛山公園), you can take in the entire Yokohama cityscape, from the Minato Mirai (みなとみらい) skyscrapers to the bay area. As the sun sets, the buildings and Ferris wheel light up, and the moment the whole city transforms into a night view is the climax of this course. Another appeal is how easily it can be reached on foot from Sakuragicho Station (桜木町駅). The park's opening hours and the observation deck's usage hours are not officially announced, so please enjoy it within a comfortable range according to conditions on the day.

Season & hours

Tips

It's breezy and cool on top of the hill, so don't forget a jacket. Some parts of the slope on the way back get dark, so use a light to see your footing and hold your children's hands as you walk.

Best time to visit

Around sunset. Minato Mirai (みなとみらい) looks most photogenic during the time when a blue tint still remains in the sky.
