A small museum housed in a Western-style building along the road to Meigetsu-in (明月院). It displays original works by picture-book artist Yo Shomei (葉祥明), including watercolors, oil paintings, and sketches — a world of soft colors that can be enjoyed with children too. It is open from 10:00 to 17:00 (last entry 30 minutes before closing), and admission is 600 yen for adults and 300 yen for elementary and junior high school students.

Tips

The museum is arranged like ‘a single picture book,’ so it's recommended to take your time in each room. The exhibits change with the seasons.
