Otodobu (大凸部)

Flow of the course

About this spot

An observation spot at Aogashima's highest point, 423m above sea level. After about a 15-minute climb from the torii gate at the entrance, you'll reach a bow-shaped lookout with a 360-degree view of the globally rare double-caldera terrain and the open sea of the Kuroshio Current.

Tips

Climbing alone in the dark is dangerous, so visit Otodobu while it's still light out and enjoy the stars at Oyama Observation Park after sunset.

Best time to visit
