About this spot
A prefectural park (nicknamed Umihoshi Park) set in satoyama countryside overlooking Miyazu Bay and Amanohashidate. It features a terrace overlooking Miyazu Bay and well-maintained forest walking trails. Open 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (until 8:00 PM from July to September), free admission. Free parking for 200 cars.
Tips
A paid stargazing kit (silver mat, binoculars, star guide book, etc.) is available for rent.
Best time to visit
Early afternoon, when you can enjoy the view over the bay
