About this spot

A combined observatory-and-exhibition facility with one of Kyushu's finest 50cm-aperture reflecting telescopes. Located on a 247m-high hilltop, it is said that as long as the sky is clear, every day is an observation session, so stars can be observed not only at night but also during the day.

Season & hours

Tips

Closed every Monday. Admission is 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for elementary/junior-high students. Arrive with plenty of time before closing (21:00).
