A satoyama landscape representative of Misaki-cho, selected among Japan's Top 100 Rice Terraces. The terraces layer one upon another along a mortar-shaped valley, and in summer, lush green rice plants sway in the wind, showing a beauty that could be called a quintessential Japanese landscape. The view from the lookout point is especially spectacular, perfect for family photos.
Tips
Travel by car from Yanahara Fureai Mining Park. Some sections of the surrounding roads are narrow, so drive carefully. The summer sun is strong, so remember to stay hydrated.
Best time to visit
