About this spot

An observatory equipped with a 400mm reflecting telescope and other equipment. Members of an astronomy club give sky explanations, and visitors can also enjoy stargazing through multiple telescopes.

Season & hours

Tips

Scheduled to open every Saturday, no reservation required. The public stargazing session lasts about 20 minutes (a 10-minute talk on the 1st floor and 10 minutes of viewing on the 2nd floor). Admission is 300 yen for adults (high school age and up), 200 yen for children (elementary and junior high school), and free for preschoolers. Whether it opens is announced by loudspeaker on-site 30 minutes before opening based on the weather that day, and it is canceled in case of cloudy or rainy weather.
