About this spot

A 'road and railway station' built using the former Rikubetsu station building of the discontinued Furusato Ginga Line. It preserves the decommissioned tracks and train cars, offering train-driving and ride experiences (late April to late October). You can also view, free of charge, the Maetel-wrapped train car autographed by Leiji Matsumoto, creator of Galaxy Express 999.

Tips

There is a products hall selling Rikubetsu specialties (venison products, wild mountain vegetables, etc.). The driving experience is seasonal, so please check the official website in advance.

Best time to visit

Early afternoon. You can also visit the tourist products hall and the Seki Kansai Archive Museum (関寛斎資料館).
