A stargazing class is held every Saturday from 19:30 to 21:00. Located on the shore of Lake Suwanoike on the Shimabara Peninsula, you can observe seasonal constellations and celestial objects with a large 250mm-aperture refracting telescope, said to be the second largest in Kyushu.

Tips
Capacity is 20 people, reservation required (minimum of 2 participants). The participation fee is 100 yen for elementary school age and above. Closed on Wednesdays. Please check the official website (unzen-suwanoike.com) for whether the class is being held, and make a reservation in advance.
