A tree-covered campsite located at the foot of Mt. Onoko, at an elevation of about 650-700m. It is introduced on the Takayama Village tourism website as Hoshifuru Campsite, described as offering an exceptional quiet night under a natural planetarium.

Season & hours

Tips

Stargazing is intended for overnight (camping) guests. The site is open from mid-April to late November, and reservations are accepted from March 1 to late November (starting three months before the month of use), so if visiting close to the end of the season, please check the official website (https://www.takayama-kanko.jp/midori/index.html) for operating status beforehand.
