About this spot

A spring selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Springs, located at the eastern foot of Mt. Kameyama, where Echizen Ono Castle stands. Once used as water for the castle lord, it has also been called 'Tonosama Shimizu' (Lord's Spring). Viewing and drawing water are free, and you can visit anytime.

Tips

The nearby rest facility 'Oshozu Kaikan' is open 9:00-17:00 and closed on Mondays, but you can view the spring itself anytime. Bring a bottle if you'd like to take some water home.
