About this spot

An observatory on Tainai-daira at 500m elevation. In an observation dome equipped with the prefecture's largest 60cm telescope, you can observe nebulae, star clusters, planets, and the moon. Observation sessions are held every Saturday and on consecutive holiday days, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM (7:00 PM to 9:00 PM from September onward). The fee is just the admission fee.

Tips

The grounds are entirely no-smoking, no open flames, and pets are not allowed. Eating and drinking inside the building is also prohibited. Sessions may be canceled depending on weather.
