About this spot

Sky Terrace Ibukiyama (スカイテラス伊吹山) is located at the summit of Mt. Ibuki in Maibara City, at the top of the Mt. Ibuki Driveway. On special night-opening dates, the live stargazing commentary 'Ibuki no Yozora' (いぶきのよぞら) is held on the north side of the summit parking lot.

🚨 The date of this course (October 24, 2026) is a special night-opening date (a night-stay date) for the Mt. Ibuki Driveway. Regular operating hours are 8:00 am to 7:00 pm (last entry 5:00 pm), but on special night-opening dates entry is allowed until 9:00 pm, and once inside, visitors may stay on the premises (including sleeping in their car) until 6:00 am the following morning. On any other day, please note that trying to stay this late is not possible, as the driveway closes the same day. The stargazing commentary 'Ibuki no Yozora' (いぶきのよぞら) takes place for about 70 minutes after sunset at the north side of the summit parking lot (bus parking area); it is free to join with no reservation needed, but since the start time varies by day, please check the official website (https://www.ibukiyama-driveway.jp/) for the exact time on the day of your visit. A separate toll applies for the Mt. Ibuki Driveway.
