About this spot

This summer-only stargazing event takes you up the Happo Gondola to Usagidaira Terrace at an elevation of about 1,400m. 19:00-19:30 reception and gondola ride, 19:45-20:30 stargazing and lecture with an expert guide, 20:30-21:00 free observation time, and descent from 21:00. KENKO binoculars are available for rent and telescopes are set up on site. The experience fee is 2,700 yen for junior high school students and above, 1,700 yen for elementary school students, and free for preschoolers.

Advance online reservation is mandatory; same-day tickets are not sold on-site. Whether the event will run is announced on the official website at 4:00 PM on the day. Since the event dates vary year to year, please check in advance.
