About this spot

Tenku no Mori (Sky Forest) sits on a highland at an elevation of about 800m. The second floor of the Cassiopeia log cabin has an astronomical observation dome, letting you enjoy a sky full of stars in the mountains with few streetlights. Log cabin check-in is 15:00-17:00; campsite check-in is 13:00-17:00.

Tips

The observation dome does not provide a telescope or binoculars, so bring your own binoculars if you want to observe constellations. Closed every Wednesday and during the New Year holiday period. The highland gets cold at night, so bring warm clothing.
